The Russian Community Center will be presenting a Russian Kaleidoscope presentation to the public. There is no charge to attend either of the concerts, but donations are encouraged.

The art, music and culture of Russia have been hidden from western eyes for over a century. Now, people have an immense interest in learning more about this fascinating country.

The performing artist will be Sergei Shapoval.

Sergei Shapoval is a graduate of Gnesin's State Academy of Music in Moscow. Mr. Shapoval holds several bayan competition awards and has performed extensively in Russia and the United States.

Sergei Shapoval, dressed in a traditional Russian folk costume will be performing with various Russian folk instruments -including the Garmoshka, Balalaika, flutes and Bayan (button accordion).

The funds received from this concert will go to support the Russian Community Center located in the Ranch Mart shopping center at the intersection of 95^th and Mission Road.

The Russian Community Center is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to assisting Russian-speaking people and those associated with them. The Center offers language courses, job assistance, translation services, community activities and cultural opportunities for people within the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.
