One of the best Russian films about WW II

Directed by Nikolai Lebedev Author of idea and General Producer Karen Shakhnazarov

The World War II, 1944. The Star is a call-sign of a reconnaissance detachment that went in the enemy rear. Their task was to reveal plans of German Army and to find dislocation of armored troops. At the cost of their lives soldiers inform headquarters about forthcoming wide front attack. Highly tense and dramatic the film and it's shrilly and passionate music submerges a spectator into the war atmosphere when each wrong step can be fateful.

Produced by Mosfilm Cinema Concern with participation of Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, 2002
