The Russian Community Center (RCC) is a non-profit organization located in Overland Park, Kansas. Its mission is to serve nearly 17,000 Russian-speaking people living in the metropolitan area by providing essential social and educational programs in a familiar cultural atmosphere.
It is the RCC's vision to become a Russian resident's first place when seeking assistance in social services, education, legal programs, and bridging the gap between life in the United States and Russia. A new society, new culture, can be overwhelming. People new to the American life style need a reliable Center that understands their background, thus providing an immediate assistance when needed. RCC offers the new and recent immigrants English/Russian classes, financial seminars as well as referral services that help to adopt to a new environment. These services include legal advises, medical assistance, assistance in job search, business consulting, and wide spectrum of Russian cultural programs.
RCC is a unique non-profit organization that has no previous analogue here in Midwest. Its main purpose is to serve the needs of people who choose the United States as their second home. It provides a gathering place for immigrants to share experiences from both a home country and the new country they now live in.
As the RCC pursues its vision, it'll grow into a beacon of hope and an example of what it takes to give back to the community. This mission will remain successful as long as the community stands behind it.
Sincerely, Sergey Vorontsov Executive Director of the Russian Community Center
